Label-Free Detection

There are a variety of high quality label-free detection techniques currently utilized in commercially available biosensor instruments. Commonly seperated into two catagories (optical and acoustic), most of the different techniques provide the same type and level of information.  Depending on the target applications, sample quality, and molecules to be tested, one specific method will often be more appropriate for a specific situation. 

Sierra Sensors employs a number of different label-free detection technologies and is committed to using the detection technique best suited for the target applications of the products we make.  Currently we employ either quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) or surface plasmon resonance imaging (SPRi) in our analysis systems.
