Real-time and sensitive detection of Salmonella Typhimurium

Researchers in the lab of Dr. Ibtisam E. Tothill at the Cranfield University are using Sierra Sensors QCMA-1 system to develop point of care diagnostic biosensors.  In this poster they demonstrate the use of the QCMA-1 system and gold-nanoprticles to measure Salmonella bacteria with low double digit CFU per ml sensitivity.  This poster was presented at the 9th workshop on Biosensor and Bioanalytical microtechniques in environmental and clinical analysis, June 14-17, 2009 Montreal, Canada (link to PDF).
